Galveston...

We had such a wonderful time last Sunday at the beach!  We left bright and early, its been a long, good while since we've been down, too long!  First we just drove for a little bit down the seawall when we got there, then we stopped at Wings and bought a few souvenirs.  Then we took Carlie down to the beach, let her play for a good while.  She had a ball just playin' in the sand.

Then after a while, we got ourselves cleaned up(well as much as you can clean the sand off, lol), and then we went and had a little snack at The Spot.  After we left there, we went and took Carlie to the Rainforest Pyramid at Moody Gardens for the 1st time.  She loved it, she was completely fascinated with the butterflies!

 

When we left there, it was time to eat dinner.  We went to the Rainforest Cafe, love it there and Carlie loved it, too.  It was her 1st time to be there also, then after that we took her on the Rainforest River Ride!  She loved that, too!

 

Then we took her to Murdoch's and got her her 1st hermit crab who she named Squirt, we had a wonderful time!

Mother's Day

Well, I had a wonderful mother's day.  Cory took me down to Galveston last weekend, then yesterday, we went for the 1st time to finally do some professional pictures!  And for the very 1st time we experienced going to a drive-in movie!!  It was so neat to experience that, especially together as a family!  We went to see Dark Shadows, it was pretty good!  Well, from what we caught, cuz in some of it we were having to get on to Carlie and my niece, Bree, they love each other to death, but they always fight like sisters, lol!  And today is was so sweet, Carlie told me Happy Mother's Day on her own, she picked out my card and helped pick out my flowers, too.  But then later on she was walking in the house and looked at Cory and said "Happy Mother's Day, Daddy." LOLOLOL, he told her "I'm not a mother, Carlie."  It was so funny!
